Disneymania

{ the one and only picture with Mickey and it's blurry. Boo.}

My fist time into Disneyland happened when I was just 6 months old
(before you think my parents were crazy, they did have a 3 year old as well)
so you best believe that I have been indoctrinated with the love of Disneyland from a young age.

Kathryn and I did our best with Luke, but we without doubt have converted Micah.

If you couldn't tell, we had the time of our lives :)

Downtown

A couple of weeks ago I met my family at the good ole' Little America Hotel in downtown SLC
to celebrate my Dad's birthday and Mother's day.

The weekend was made even better since Kathryn and Micah
were able to fly in for the occasion.

and sooooo, here are the happenings...
just a little hotel swimming,
city creek shopping,
snow cone eating
& Temple Square visiting

We had to make a quick trip back up to Logan because I was moving apartments that weekend,
so we stopped at "Mo' Bettah' Steaks" for their GIANT Snow Cones.
They were Delicious! Not to mention the size of our heads, and those were the smalls!

Tomorrow we leave for DISNEYLAND!!! I'm SO excited that I doubt I'll sleep tonight.
Stay Tuned! :)

I should be...but instead I'll...

So… it’s Saturday afternoon.
I should…
clean my room.
do my homework.
watch my summer job training online.
finally eat some breakfast.
Blog. Yeah, I should blog.

There are a ton of things that I should be doing, but instead I'll update you on my life.

First thing is first: I only have one more week of classes & then finals.
This will be my first break from school since summer of 2010 and you best believe I'm counting down the days.
(not that I'm alone. every person in their right mind is counting down to summer.)

Secondly: I move to my new apartment the weekend after finals
(yup, I'm staying in Logan for the summer).
I'm just moving downstairs in the same building that I've been in all year but still,
that means new roommates & new adventures.

Thirdly: I'm headed to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, in exactly 1 month!
It'll be my nephew's first time and I'm more excited to see his reaction than I am to actually get to go myself.
I actually googled Disneyland pictures today because I got such a tinge of excitement
(you can obviously see how focused I am on my homework).

Lastly: only two and a half more months until EFY!!!
I remember how exhausted I was as a participant after one week at EFY,
so I can't even imagine how tired I will be after 4 weeks straight.
But it's going to be sooooo worth it & AWESOME!
I can sleep when I'm dead.

So that's what will be going on in my life soon.
I don't know if you'll hear from me again for a while with the end of the semester being so close, but after the move downstairs, hopefully I'll have more time to blog about my first summer in Logan.

oh, and p.s. I have been jamming out to these boys for the past month now. I have reverted back to my boy-band loving, thirteen year old self. Judge me if you will, but you'll thank me after watching it.

Saturday Afternoon Session

Was I there?
yep!

Was it wonderful?
yep!

Did I forget my real camera?
yep.
what would I do without a camera phone?

 {here are my cute parents while we waited to get in.}

{we had pretty rockin' seats, right in front of the hearing impaired section
so we got to watch the Sign Language translation on the TV}

It was a great session to attend.
We got to listen to Elder Holland's talk, see Elder Archuleta sing in the choir and
watch as over 21,000 people raised their hands in unison to
sustain the officers of the Church.

Conference, in addition to exploring City Creek with my parents, aunt Janet and Uncle Bob,
annnnd getting to stay at my most favorite place in the world, the Little America Hotel,
made for a wonderful weekend.

Disney Wisdom

found at http://www.lylaandblu.com

Disney gives the best advice. Period.

Spring Break

so I should probably blog about Spring Break since it has been over for a while now...

My parents surprised me at Christmas with a trip to see my sister in Denver for Spring Break.
I wish that I had a ton of pictures to post but... I don't.
I honestly didn't think about taking any until like the last day,
which is a shame because we did so many fun things.

I guess I was too busy chasing cute, little Micah (who is everywhere these days)
and laughing with my sister to care about pictures.
oh, well. I'll have to be better next trip.

But just know that I had thee most wonderful time with my family
and enjoyed every minute of it.

I did manage to snap one picture on the first day I was there.
This is the handsome face that I got to wake up next to every morning.
*sigh* I miss our morning routine of breakfast, followed by dancing to The Princess & The Frog.
He's a good little dance partner. :)

KONY 2012

I'm not usually the type to post political-ish type things, but like this video says,
this is something we can all agree on.
It's kind of lengthy, but it is SOOOOOOO worth it.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to watch this and spread the word

I think it's such a great testimony of how much of a difference one person can make
and how we all have a responsibility to help each other.

to the critics who say that posting about Kony online does nothing,
you have missed the point of this video entirely.
I don't understand why people take a positive message and belittle it.

People want to help, but often times don't know how.
The point of this video is to get the word out and to let the government
know that the people still care about this issue.
We're making Kony famous.

be a little more negative, why don't ya?
